Our experienced teachers are engaged and enthusiastically approach teaching with the goal of sharing a love of learning! We believe that having qualified teachers is of utmost importance. All of our teachers have bachelor’s degrees and many have also earned master’s degrees or teaching credentials.

I was raised in a suburb of Denver, Colorado. While I’m not a Texas native, I quickly fell in love with Texas (except for the never ending heat!). I attended private, Christian schools from Kindergarten through College. It was very clear to me from an early age that I was called to teach. It brings me so much joy to see others learn and I truly believe the gifts that God has given me lend itself toward teaching. I attended Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska in pursuit of a degree in elementary education and graduated in 2015. I met my husband in college and we have since had 2 daughters together. I never thought I would teach in the public school system, but God had bigger plans for me! My first seven years of teaching was in Rockwall ISD. God used this time to grow me in the boldness of my faith, teaching me to live out my faith in a way that would stand out when I couldn’t speak clearly about it. The Lord also used this time to shape me and convict me to live a life informed by HIS word rather than the world. As our family grew, it was very clear that God’s

I'm thrilled to be joining the Providence family! Originally from Rockwall, I was homeschooled by my parents alongside my sisters. In 2018, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Master of Arts in Teaching from Dallas Baptist University. I hold teaching certifications in Early Childhood-6th grade, English as a Second Language, and Special Education. Over the past six years, I've had the privilege of teaching in various capacities within public schools: three years in PreKindergarten, one year in Early Childhood Special Education, and two years as a Special Populations Coordinator. I am eager to embrace this new chapter in an environment that cherishes faith and fosters our relationship with God My husband Kyle and I have been happily married for nearly five years. Together, we share our home with a small menagerie: four cats and an Australian shepherd. While we're not yet parents ourselves, we've been actively involved in raising our two nephews for the past four years, and they mean the world to us."

As a child, I spent my allowances on carbon paper so that I could type on my typewriter multiple copies of worksheets for my imaginary students. I logged thousands of hours playing school and had my mom find old teacher editions of textbooks to add to my ever-growing curriculum collection. When my parents hung a chalkboard and roll-down world map in my room at home, I was thrilled! My sister and I tried many times to make our own overhead projector using a magnifying glass and a flashlight, but my dream of owning my very own transparency machine was realized as an adult when I found a machine to use with my daughters during our early days of homeschooling. My passion for teaching goes back many years! … As a student at Texas A&M University in College Station, I decided that I wanted to pursue a career in counseling, so I majored in psychology with an emphasis in Spanish. It wasn’t long before I realized that I couldn’t escape my love for teaching, so after graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree, I enrolled as a Master of Education student, specializing in curriculum and instruction. While attending

God led us to Providence two years ago when we were searching for a school for my daughter. And now I have the pleasure of joining the Providence family in the role of Kindergarten teacher. I was born in East Texas and as a kid moved with my family to California. We returned to Texas when I was in high school. After graduation, I moved to Tulsa, OK and attended college at Oral Roberts University. I met my husband at ORU. We have been married 10 years and have a daughter and a son, who both attend Providence. I have a BS in psychology, a minor in humanities, and am currently seeking a masters in marriage and family therapy. My heart has always been to help others. Walking down this path of learning about others and how to help guide them to grow in different areas has helped mold me as a mother, wife, person, and now teacher. Although I graduated with a psychology degree, my heart’s desire was to be an education major. I discovered my love for teaching from my 4th grade teacher. She influenced me in such a positive way. Her love of learning, and her passion

I am so excited to be joining the Providence family! Teaching is one of my passions and this year will mark my 10th year in the classroom. Being at Providence with my husband is truly an answered prayer and we look forward to this chapter.I’m from Miami, FL. I am grateful to have been raised in a loving Christian home. I went to college at the University of Central Florida and actually started a career as an animal trainer at Sea World. After a few years, I felt God calling me into a different direction so I moved back home, met my husband, and started a new career path in education. I taught elementary school for seven years and earned a master’s degree in educational leadership. In 2014, my husband and I had our first child; I was blessed to be able to stay home for the next few years to care for our three babies. God led our family to Rockwall three years ago, which we love calling home. The past two years, I’ve had the privilege of working at Lakepointe’s MDO program as a pre-k teacher but I’m looking forward to being back in a 1st grade classroom

I’m a born and raised Texan, who graduated from Rowlett High School in 2003. I studied Child Development at Harding University in Searcy, AR. While there, I was blessed to spend a semester abroad at our Greece campus and traveled to Egypt, Israel, and more. It was from that experience that I began to love ancient history and how it correlates to the Bible. Not long after college I met my husband, Danny. In 2010, we got married and moved -what seemed at the time- allll the way out to Caddo Mills in the middle of nowhere. We have a nice little slice of land where we raise goats, chickens, cats, and a dog. And the reason I do it all… our three kids: Caleb, Joshua, and AnnaRay, who are just as excited to start Providence as I am! When I first started teaching my goal was to teach kindergarten and stay in that grade until I retired. God had other plans. For the last 14+ years I’ve been teaching in some form or fashion, from public school to preschool to classical homeschooling and all the while teaching Bible class in between. I loved teaching the littles and reluctantly moved

My grandfather, a lifelong educator, used to tell me often that "Teachers are born, not made." I believe that must be true, because some of my favorite childhood memories are the hours I spent pretending to be a teacher in my mom's classroom after school. Not only was I born into a family of educators, my parents also wove the Gospel into so many conversations with my brothers and I as kids. I fell in love with Jesus as a young girl, and for as long as I can remember I knew I would one day have a classroom of my own so I could love my own students the way Jesus has always loved me. I attended Texas A&M University to pursue a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Education) with an emphasis in intermediate math & science. I graduated from A&M in 2012 and my first teaching job was as a 5th grade science teacher in Navasota. During that first year of teaching I realized I had fallen in love with one of my closest friends, and thankfully he felt the same way! I married my darling husband, Andrew, in 2013 and then we moved to Dallas so he could

I am grateful to join the faculty at Providence, and I am looking forward to working with the students and parents! I grew up close by in Sachse and have lived in this area most of my life. My teaching background began with my teacher training at Texas Tech University. My husband and I married right after graduation in 1982, and soon started our family. We were blessed with six children and embarked with them on a homeschooling journey of 20 years. Later, I taught in homeschool co-ops and then seven years in a private Christian school. Homeschooling is a joy which is also met with many challenges. Centering our instruction around God’s Word and beautiful, truthful literature helped me grow as a person and as a deeper believer in Jesus as well as giving our children a strong foundation. Working with other faithful teachers in the co-ops and the private school blessed me with timeless insight into the ways children learn and the joy of encouraging students and parents. My life is built on the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and I hope that His life and His Word shines through all I do and say as

I am Pat Corwin and the Lord’s path for my life began in Ecuador South America where I was born to loving and wise parents. My family immigrated to the USA for a better life and opportunities. I spent my childhood in NYC until my Junior year in HS when we moved to Garland Texas. I went to Eastfield College and North Texas to fulfill my dream of becoming a teacher. I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from The University of Texas at Austin. In 2021 I retired from 32 years in Public Education. I had the pleasure of teaching and serving in Dallas, Garland, and Rockwall ISD’ s. I am delighted to be a part of Providence Academy this year teaching 3rd grade plus as a bonus to be on the same campus with my grandboys Hendrix in 1st grade and Cooper in 4th grade. Two years ago, a friend from church introduced me to Providence, and began praying how the Lord would use this school in my future. With God’s guidance I was led to visit Providence last Fall for a school tour and quickly became interested with this school, staff, students, and the Classical University
