I am a Jesus-loving, coffee-drinking Texan! After graduating from high school in 1999, I attended ESS College of Business earning an Associate Degree in 2000. While working full time as an administrative assistant for commercial real estate and being a newlywed, I went on to earn my Bachelor of Business Studies from Dallas Baptist University in 2004, graduating Magna Cum Laude. In 2007, I felt a desire to earn my alternative teaching certificate through ACT Houston at Dallas. Soon after receiving my certificate, I had my twin boys in 2008 and quit my property management job to stay home and raise our children. I joined the Providence Academy team as a teacher in 2013 when my boys started Kindergarten. My husband and I desire to live out the Bible verse, “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6. Providence Academy has helped us to live out this verse. The teachers and staff love the Lord dearly and want each student to see God in every aspect of life, not just in a box sitting to the side. Because of the close parental involvement, my husband

My husband and I were a military family. His dad spent 20 years in the Air Force, and Bob followed in his dad’s footsteps. The military took us from the bone-chilling cold of Minot, North Dakota, to the sunny beaches of Honolulu, Hawaii, and numerous places in between. Our two wonderful sons became teenagers at our final Air Force assignment, Tinker AFB, Oklahoma. The time was right to finish my education. I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma and started a 24-year career in the elementary classrooms of Mid-Del Schools. Along the way, I finished my Master’s in Reading and earned National Board certification. After retiring from public education, I stumbled across an informational meeting for a Classical Christian school. I never knew such a thing existed! I was blessed to teach another five years at the Academy for Classical Christian Studies in Edmond, Oklahoma, rediscovering all that teaching is supposed to be. Bob and I are very grateful for the wonderful Christian women our sons were blessed to marry and the eight fantastic grandchildren that fill up our lives. We took a big leap and moved to Rockwall in 2022 thinking it would be a great place to

I was raised by my parents in the small west Texas town of Southland with my four sisters. My parents faithfully took me to church and I made a profession of faith at a young age; however, I did not come to know Jesus in a saving way until after I was married. Growing up I attended our town’s little school of 200 students. I loved sports and had the opportunity to play basketball, tennis, cheerlead, and run track. After high school I went to college at Texas Tech where I graduated with a degree in education and minor in math. I then moved to Dallas to teach middle school math. Shortly after, I married my husband Brian and after my second child was born, I began life as a stay-at-home mom. During this time I started attending a Bible study and through God’s Word, the Holy Spirit began opening my eyes to the holiness of God and my sinful heart. Many things started to change in my life, including my desire to homeschool. I took my oldest child out of public school and began to homeschool my two children. I now have 5 children. My oldest just graduated, I

My two daughters attend Providence Academy and this will be the seventh year that our family has benefited from University Model Schooling with PA. My love for teaching children began as a Sunday School Teacher when I was in Jr. High and continued as I grew into the position of Teacher and Director for our Children’s Church Ministry in So Cal. This will be my fourth year teaching with Providence Academy and I am grateful for the opportunity to work with such amazing staff, parents, and students.

My husband Justin and I have been married 14 years. The Lord has blessed us with 3 beautiful daughters, two attend Providence Academy. I received a Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Studies from Tarleton State University in 2002 and received my EC-4th ESL teaching certification from their TMATE program in 2004. As a child and teenager I was homeschooled with my 7 siblings and my husband was in public school. So when our oldest daughter was 3 we began to pray and seek how the Lord would have us to educate her. After two years of praying we discovered Providence, from a stranger, at a museum an hour away. After researching Providence and the University Model School, it became apparent that it was a perfect fit for our family. Now 3 years later both of our children are surrounded here by God’s Word and His people. They are getting a Biblically sound, academically exemplary education which integrates and encourages home and family. I feel that they are getting the best of both worlds. As a teacher I love engaging children in learning and really enjoy intertwining God’s word into every day and every subject area. Even as a

I became a Christian at the age of nine, and even before that time the Lord had begun to impress upon my heart the love of teaching. Answering His call, I attended East Texas Baptist University where I received my Bachelor of Science in elementary education with a minor in mathematics. After college, I taught for 13 years in public school from 1st to 5th grades. My husband Mark and I were blessed with a son, at which time I became a stay at home mom. When our son reached school age, we began to pray for God’s guidance regarding schooling. Having both grown up attending Christian School we knew the value of Christian education. For the last five years, I have been teaching and my son has been attending a local private Christian school. After much prayer, we have been led to Providence Academy. Our family looks forward to being an integral part of the school…. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

I grew up in East Texas where I developed a love for performing arts and tumbling. After attending the University of Texas at Arlington on a cheerleading scholarship and winning a National Championship in 2014, the Lord led to me East Texas Baptist University to pursue a degree in Theatre Arts… I have an 8 year old stepdaughter, 4 year old son, and 1 year old daughter who are my greatest gifts on earth. I am currently pursuing my Masters of Liberal Arts at Dallas Baptist University with a concentration in graphic design.
